Privacy Policy

In short

• Your location is shown only to people in the family groups you join.
• No ads, no tracking, and we never sell or share your data.
• You can delete your account in the app at any time; all your data is deleted right away.

What we collect

• Account: your name, your e-mail address (when you sign up with e-mail) and the user identifier provided by Apple or Google when you sign in with them. Passwords are stored only as a one-way hash.
• Profile photo (optional): a downsized copy with the photo's location data removed. People in your groups see it.
• Location: latitude/longitude, accuracy, speed and heading, time; also while the app is in the background if you allowed “Always”.
• Device status: battery level and charging state, activity type such as walking or driving (motion data is processed on your device, only the type is sent), and whether the app was closed.
• Group data: groups, memberships, places you add (name and coordinates) and arrive/leave/SOS/safe events.
• Notifications: your device's notification token (APNs) so we can send alerts.
• Purchases: whether you have Premium. Apple processes payments; we never see card details.

How we use it

• To show your location and status to your group and send arrival/departure and SOS alerts.
• To run your account, send password-reset codes and protect the service from abuse.

We do not use your data for advertising or profiling. You can stop sharing your location with a group at any time.

How long we keep it

• Location history: 24 hours on free accounts, 30 days with Premium. Only your most recent position is kept longer so the map can show it.
• Arrive/leave/SOS events: 90 days.
• Unused device notification tokens: 180 days.
• When you delete your account, your profile, photo, location history, events and group memberships are deleted immediately.

Service providers

We use these services to run the app; they process data only for that purpose:

• Cloudflare: servers, database and password-reset e-mails.
• Apple: notifications (APNs), Sign in with Apple and in-app purchases.
• Google: Sign in with Google.
• RevenueCat: subscription status.

Security

All connections are encrypted (HTTPS). Passwords are hashed, session keys are kept in Apple's Keychain on your phone, and your family's location data is excluded from iCloud backups.

Children

LifeAlert is meant for families. Children under 13 should use it only with a parent's consent and supervision.

Your rights

You can access, correct or delete your data. Change your name and photo in the app, or delete everything with Settings › Delete account. For other requests: geyikk.ibrahim@gmail.com.

Changes

If we update this policy we will change the date above and announce important changes in the app.
